Every year, in the fall, we all gather together in Valentine to celebrate the time honored traditions of our childhood hero's - The American Cowboy! We have poets, muscians and story tellers from all over our country come to share their talents. They tell us stories of the days of yester-year and of times when cowboys were kings! You can almost hear the spurs jingling and the old camp cook calling in the riders to a hot meal of biscuits, beans and boiled coffee.

Not only do we hear of historic days of old but they also tell of the contemporary western way of life we still live today. So come to Valentine Nebraska in October to mingle shoulder to shoulder with modern day cowboys, ranchers and craftsmen. Participate and be entertained by the folks who know it best - the people who live here and still uphold the western heritage
